Job Purpose 

As our Account Executive, you’ll run full-cycle sales - from outbound prospecting to closing—with a focus global enterprise, UK public sector and mid-sized tech industries. You’ll work closely with the Sales & Marketing teams to build pipeline and convert interest into committed customers. 

Some of what you’ll be doing as an Account Executive: 

  • Reaching out to warm and cold prospects by phone and email, to drive engagement 
  • Researching and identifying prospects using LinkedIn and other tools 
  • Running personalised outbound campaigns to spark conversations and build pipeline 
  • Leading qualification and discovery calls, to uncover pain points and challenges 
  • Delivering live product demos and presenting our value to HR leaders and senior decision-makers (including C-suite) 
  • Working cross-functionally with sales and marketing to refine messaging and target segments 
  • Managing opportunities through the pipeline using HubSpot 
  • Collaborating with internal teams to close deals and deliver value 
  • Representing our brand at industry events and conferences

We’re looking for someone who can

  • Bring experience in B2B SaaS sales (as an AE or SDR/BDR with closing exposure) 
  • Demonstrate strong outbound sales skills and confidence owning the full sales cycle 
  • Demonstrate learning agility and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced working environment 
  • Build strong relationships with users and senior stakeholders 
  • Commute easily to London or Guildford and attend in-person meetings each week

  • Feel confident using HubSpot or similar CRM tools to manage your pipeline

Salary & Benefits  

Salary range £42,000-£50,000 (depending on your experience and whether you are based in London or elsewhere) plus commission.  OTE up to around £90,000.  

In addition to 25 days of holiday we have a paid shutdown period between Christmas and New Year which equates to an additional 3 to 5 days, depending on where the holidays land. We have also introduced “breathe” time giving the team downtime to “stop the train”, take a breath, catch-up and re-group.

Flexible Working 

This is a permanent remote role, with some time spent in London or Guildford for in-person meetings - particularly in the first few months. It can be full-time (5 days) or part-time (4 days), and we're open to discussing what works best for the right candidate.

Location 

Although our registered office is based in Exeter, we operate as a fully remote team across various locations. We hold regular in-person team collaboration days in both Exeter and London; therefore, the successful candidate should be located within reasonable travelling distance of at least one of these locations. For this role, you should also be able to commute easily to London or Guildford for in-person meetings as needed—this could be up to weekly during the first few months.

  1. VP of Sales Interview, providing more detail on the company, our strategy, the role and a deep dive into you and your alignment to the specific requirements for the role  
  1. CEO Interview 
  1. An opportunity to meet members of the team to introduce yourself and get the chance to ask questions and understand the current state  
  1. A 1.5 hour work-based assessment where you will present back your thoughts on a number of specific tasks   
  1. Psychometric (Wave) assessment (to explore your natural working style) alongside a values-based interview (something very important to us here at RoleMapper)  

While there are quite a few steps, we try to do these as quickly as we can. We ideally aim for all of this to happen over a 2-week period.
