Job Purpose
As Finance Director, you will play a hands-on role managing both our day-to-day financial activities alongside partnering with the CEO and leadership team to support business growth and optimising financial health.
As Finance Director, you will be responsible for:
· Day-to Day Financials: Manage all day-to-day financial activities from transactional accounting, cashflow management to management accounts and other internal controls and financial reporting
· Budgeting & Reporting: Be responsible for budgeting & reporting, analysis and KPI tracking
· Board reporting and investor relations: Manage board process, reporting and investor relations
· Fundraising : Support the fundraising process, working closely with the CEO, Chairman and Investors (we are heading towards a Series A)
· Leadership & strategic decision: Play a key role in the leadership team, bringing appropriate level of challenge to ensure sound business and financial planning
· Company Secretarial: Manage our Company Secretarial activities to ensure we meet all statutory compliance requirements
· Contract & Financial Operations: Manage financial processes and systems and support on contractual issues to ensure mitigation of risk and liabilities
To be successful in this role, you will have experience of:
· Working in an FD role, managing the day-today finance function within a high-growth early-stage VC backed SaaS business
· Working directly with and advising the CEO and senior stakeholders of a company
· Supporting the fundraising process and managing investor relations
You will also:
· Have excellent financial modelling skills
· Have excellent written and verbal communication skills, comfortable presenting at board level and with the ability to be impactful at a senior level
· Be comfortable working in a small, fast growth team, rolling up your sleeves with a proactive mindset
· Be super organised, with a real skill to cut through noise, obsessively prioritize, keep everyone updated and managing upwards
· Have great project management skills and high attention to detail - someone who is great at keeping projects and all those involved on track
· Hold a full chartered accountancy body qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW or equivalent

Salary & Benefits
Salary range: up to £100k FTE (£80k pro-rata for a 4 day working week) plus share options.
In addition to 25 days of holiday we have a paid shutdown period between Christmas and New Year which equates to an additional 3 to 5 days, depending on where the holidays land. We have also introduced “breathe” time giving the team downtime to “stop the train”, take a breath, catch-up and re-group.

Flexible Working
This is a permanent role working 4 days a week. Remote working with some office days.
Location
Although our registered office is based in Exeter, we operate as a fully remote team across various locations. We hold regular in-person team collaboration days in both Exeter and London; therefore, the successful candidate should be located within reasonable travelling distance of at least one of these locations.

1. Initial recruiter call to provide an overview of the company, the role and get an understanding of your background and fit for the role
2. CEO Interview, providing more detail on the company, our strategy, the role and a deep dive into you and your alignment to the specific requirements for the role
3. A 1 hour meet and greet with the team to introduce yourself and get the chance to ask questions and understand the current state
4. A 1.5 hour work-based assessment where you will present back your thoughts on a number of specific tasks
5. Psychometric (Wave) assessment (to explore your natural working style) alongside a values-based interview (something very important to us here at RoleMapper)
While there are quite a few steps, we try to do these as quickly as we can. We ideally aim for all of this to happen across a 2 week period.
